We will offer you experienced guidance to overcome your debt.

What is Chapter 13 Bankruptcy?

Chapter 13 actually involves you repaying some of the money that you owe. Through this form of bankruptcy, together we will create a debt repayment plan that is based on your circumstances and approved by the court. This repayment plan will stay in place for a fixed amount of time. After that time has passed, if there is any remaining debt, it will be discharged in most cases. You will not owe anything.

The amount of time that it takes to get through Chapter 13 is flexible, based on your needs and the law. Typically, the repayment plan lasts somewhere between three and five years.

Is Chapter 13 Bankruptcy an Option?

In some cases, you are able to make a choice between Chapter 13 bankruptcy and Chapter 7 bankruptcy. More commonly though, the type of bankruptcy that you must file is determined by the laws involved, as well as your income, expenses and debt.

You can count on us to provide you with guidance that makes sense in your situation. Whether you're fighting foreclosure or just trying to get out of debt, we will help you determine whether Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 is right for you.
