Margaret McMillan is an Associate Attorney at Hocker Law, LLC. She is an active member of the Indiana Bar, as well as the American Immigration Lawyer Association (AILA). She focuses her practice in humanitarian and family-based immigration as well as EOIR removal defense and BIA appeals. She has a particular passion for survivors of crime and domestic abuse, as well as Special Immigration Juveniles. Her background is in family law, domestic violence law, child protection, cross-cultural communication, and trauma-informed care. Margaret also utilizes her French language skills to perform legal translation. She strives to ensure that her clients feel empowered, confident, heard, and supported during what can be a scary and challenging immigration landscape.

Whether accompanying you to your USCIS interview, prepping you for cross-examination in immigration court, or detailing and preserving your story for asylum, Margaret shows deep care and compassion for your case.

Margaret loves to travel. She studied in France and lived in Romania and the Philippines. She spent time in Haiti, Hong Kong, and all around southeast Asia. In her free time, she’s trying to find the best pad thai, boba tea, and croissant that Indy has to offer.
